This week’s China Seminar will feature the president of V3 Studio, an award-winning international architecture firm based in Portland, Oregon, USA. He will discuss the social and ecology impact of fast urbanization in China.

Title: Hutong to High Rise - an Introduction to China's Rapid Urbanization

Abstract:

This talk will introduce some of Gary's own work and his collaborators work relating to China's Urbanization. It will focus on the social space degradation in the way people are being housed in new urban developments, and what effects that is likely having on all aspects of their lives.

Gary Reddick, AIA, is the president of V3 Studio, an award-winning international architecture firm based in Portland, Oregon, USA.
